Bridge Senior Living Adds Two Greater Charlotte Communities To Growing Southeast Portfolio

Additions Include Somerby Baxter Village in Suburban Fort Mill, S.C., and Somerby Edgewater in Indian Land, S.C., joining Somerby Mount Pleasant in the Palmetto State.

ORLANDO and CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Bridge Senior Living today announced the company’s expansion into Greater Charlotte with the addition of two communities: Somerby Baxter Village and Somerby Edgewater

The pair of communities join Somerby Mount Pleasant in the Palmetto State. 

“We are so glad to bring back  Bridge Senior Living lifestyle and care options to the Charlotte metropolitan area,” said Rebecca Sturtz, regional vice president of operations for Bridge Senior Living. “With Somerby Baxter Village and Somerby Edgewater, we again provide services at four communities across the Carolinas.”

Bridge Senior Living also operates Heritage Place Senior Living in Fayetteville, N.C. 

Located at 522 6th Baxter Crossing (27708), Somerby Baxter Village delivers independent living, assisted living, memory care and respite care services. Independent living cottages are available, while assisted living and memory care areas each offer three layout options. Amenities include chef-prepared meals, beauty salon, medication management provided by registered and licensed nursing staff, library, movie theater and computer room, as well as daily activities and community outings. As part of the transition to Bridge Senior Living, Somerby Baxter Village’s memory care offering will expand to include Lilac Trace Memory Care, which elevates the individual through personalized programs that meet every resident right where they are in their individual journey. Somerby Baxter Village’s executive director will remain Sara Melody, a seasoned and licensed administrator in South Carolina.

Located at 1099 Edgewater Corporate Pkwy. (29707), Somerby Edgewater offers assisted living and memory care, and respite care services with three floorplan options available in each area of care. Amenities include a beauty salon, library, movie theater, game room, computer room, physical therapy clinic, chef-prepared meals as well as community outings and daily activities. Bridge Senior Living’s Lilac Trace Memory Care, which elevates the individual through personalized programs that meet every resident right where they are in their individual journey, will be integrated into Somerby Edgewater’s memory care services. Somerby Edgewater’s executive director will remain Crissy Sellers, a University of South Carolina graduate with over 20 years senior living experience,
